When Victoria's mother died of AIDS, her father took the two older children to live with him. Victoria and her brother had a different father, so they were left in the care of their grandparents. Victoria was only 18 months old at the time.
From the beginning, Victoria formed a deep bond with Josephine at Hope for Life and rarely left her side. She would say, “Mum, don’t say Esther is your last born, because I am your last born.”
Josephine’s biological children embraced Victoria as their own sister. Neglected by her grandparents and abused by relatives, Victoria often found safety sleeping at Josephine’s house.
At Hope for Life, Victoria proved to be a natural leader who worked well without supervision.
She especially excelled in leading worship.
After high school, Victoria completed a tailoring course and was soon employed. God later
provided her with her own sewing machine, enabling her to start her own business. Through this work, she now supports her grandmother and her younger cousins.
