JOSEPH came to Hope for Life when he was in Grade 7. At first, he struggled to understand how a loving God could take away his single mother. At Hope for Life, however, he discovered a

deep reservoir of love, and his hope was restored. Today, Joseph is an encourager to other children who wonder how life can go on without parents.

Joseph especially enjoys investing in the younger children at Hope for Life. He teaches them Bible stories and helps lead their singing and dancing, with Grade 6 being his favorite age group. Through Hope for Life, Joseph learned not only the Bible but also essential life skills. He also gained practical experience through the electrical class.

Joseph later graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. While he awaits government

employment as a secondary school teacher, he works as a Parents and Teachers Association

(PTA) tuition employee. Through his work, he has been able to pay the bride price for his

fiancée and reconcile divided aunts and uncles back into one family. He also recovered land

that had been taken by an uncle after his mother’s death. Today, Joseph serves as one of the

seminar teachers at Hope for Life.
