Geoffrey grew up in a home marked by constant conflict. His parents fought all the time, and because his older brother lived with their grandparents, Geoffrey was forced to take on the responsibilities of the firstborn.

One day, he witnessed his father strangling his mother. All Geoffrey could do was throw a cup of water at his father in an attempt to stop him. His father kicked him, and Geoffrey lost consciousness. After that incident, he frequently suffered from severe headaches.

Through Hope for Life, however, Geoffrey’s entire family came to know Jesus, and their lives were radically transformed. His parents worked for a couple years at Hope for Life and are now active leaders in their church.

After high school, Geoffrey completed the electronics course at Hope for Life, gained hands-on experience through a government vocational school, and passed his qualifying exams. He now receives temporary work with Kenya Power. Through his earnings, Geoffrey was able to pay school fees for his sister, who has since graduated.
